Buen Camino

I am finishing up a second piece for my mom to serve as a reminder of her time walking el camino de Santiago last summer. As I work more on my painting, I have realized how so much of my successful work is illustrative and narrative. It wasn’t a goal, and in fact, sometimes I resented this. But it has developed over time to be a key part of my work. The process is just as important for me as the finished product.
